Overview:

Introduction:

We are interested in your alternate assessment administration experiences. These can be stories about effective or ineffective practices in your own experiences administering the alternate assessment. An online alternate assessment administration story can be completed in just a few minutes. This information will be helpful to others involved in successfully administering alternate assessments. Please visit this site often to report your experiences.

Overview of the study:

The National Alternate Assessment Center (NAAC) is a five year project funded by the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). The three primary objectives of NAAC are to: (1) Bring together and build on high quality, technically sound alternate assessments, (2) Demonstrate through our selected partner states high quality design and administration of all types of alternate assessments, and (3) Provide technical assistance through high quality dissemination practices. By sharing your administration stories, you will assist us with identifying successful alternate assessment administration practices used across the nation.

The following form asks you specific questions related to your experiences administering the alternate assessment. Please be assured that your responses will be kept confidential. To further ensure the confidentiality of all responses, the findings will be reported as group data, and no specific person or program will be identified. However, please note that when submitting information electronically, third parties may intercept electronic data transmissions and the researcher can not guarantee private responses.

The results will be analyzed and a report will be available in August of 2007. If you are interested in the results from this study, please contact Liz Towles-Reeves (EATOWL0@UKY.EDU) for an executive summary.
